Not telling your children that you love them?
Not ever telling your wife that you love her?
How about our Heavenly Father?
I find it completely contradictory, or at least unhealthy to think that anyone can love without a fervent desire to express that love.
I tell my wife that I love her.
We tell our children that we love them, and we sometimes guide them in ways they don't understand ...but we do it out of our best efforts of loving them.
Our Heavenly Father tells us that He loves us, and He has given us the means to understand. He gives us the Bible, as His Word. Jesus revealed that love ...and quoted the Word, never refuting any aspect of it. And we are given the Holy Spirit ...always consistent with His Word.
There should be no doubt that God loves us.
This Father's Day, is a time that I not only acknowledge who I am ...but gratefully look to the great I AM, my loving Heavenly Father.
Happy Father's Day ...to all the Dads out there. Make it what it can be!! If we all look to His love, imagine what that could be!!!
